The IRRI-6 Long grain rice has become somewhat of a trademark of Pakistani rice in the international market. Having been in cultivation for several decades, the production and milling of IRRI-6 rice can greatly vary depending on its quality, grading and cooking. Due to its fine cooking, great taste and relatively cheap price, the IRRI-6 is the most exported rice in Pakistan. This variety is grown in Sindh and Punjab.
