It’s been over four decades that our family has been involved in Rice business, illustrious history commenced in 1970 under the dynamic leadership of our family head (Late) Mr. Abdul Qayyum, when he founded Bader Sons Agencies. The company initially started the business as handling agent for D.G Foods (Director General Foods) a Government organization.

In 1973 Bader Sons Agencies was appointed as Rice handling agents for RECP (Rice Export Corporation of Pakistan) , the company rendered their services for over 10 years.

During this tenure in 1981 a new company was formed by Mr. Tanveer Qayyum the eldest son of (Late) Mr. Abdul Qayyum, under the title of Compass Trading Corporation PVT LTD. Compass was involved in the trading and exporting of Rice, Dry Foods, Seeds etc.

However, in 1994 after 24 successful years in trade, a new house of export was added by the name of Primex Trading Corporation PVT LTD which specializes specifically in Raw cotton and Cotton Yarn

After having great experience in cotton field, the company decided to add a Spinning textile unit in the business therefore, in 2001 (In the memory of our Late Grandfather Mr. Mohammad Amin) Alay Amin Textile Mills was added. AATM was equipped with spinning unit of 24,000 spindles.

In 2003 a Rice processing mill was added to the business with the capacity of 2.5 metric tons per hour in Karachi to increase the export volume of rice. In the following year in 2004, Under the leadership of Mr. Tanveer a new trade office Sun Glow Trading Co L.L.C was opened in Dubai to enter new dimensions of international trade.

To further achieve target of Rice exports, in 2006 the group took a step forward by inaugurating another Rice processing mill with the production capacity of 7.5 metric tons per hour in Muridke, Punjab (The heart of rice growing area).

Today, after 40 years of constant experiences and being one of the major players in Rice product category a new company has been inaugurated by the name of Compass Commodities International which specializes in the international trade of High quality Rice, Pulses, Spices, Sugar, Wheat, Maize and seeds catering valuable customers from around the world.
